Corrie’s Lucy Fallon announces she’s pregnant after miscarriage heartbreak

Lucy, who played Bethany in the ITV soap, and Preston North End footballer met in lockdown

Congratulations are in order as Lucy Fallon recently announced her exciting pregnancy. The former Coronation Street star has announced that she and her boyfriend Ryan Ledson are expecting their first child.

From 2015 to 2020, Lucy played Bethany in the ITV soap opera. In June of last year, she made her relationship with her Preston North End footballer beau public. According to rumors, they first connected through Scott Sinclair, a fellow Lilywhites actor and fiance of fellow soap opera actor Helen Flanagan. However, the couple’s love blossomed during lockdown after they connected through the celebrity dating app Raya.

It happened after Lucy’s four-year relationship with Tom Leech ended last summer. And now the 26-year-old has revealed to OK! Magazine that she has been keeping the couple’s impending parenthood a secret for five months.

In a series of dramatic tulle dresses, Blackpool native Lucy revealed her baby bump for the first time and told the magazine, “It feels a lot more real now.” She admitted, “I don’t think I look that pregnant right now, just like I’ve had a lot of KFC!”

West Lancashire residents Lucy and Ryan invited their Pomeranian puppy Sushi to help them make their big announcement. The couple is pictured with Sushi holding a sweet heart around her neck that reads, “We’ve been keeping a secret!”

The couple, according to Ryan, are “really excited,” and their joyful news comes after Lucy tragically lost her unborn child back in March. When Lucy was seven weeks along, the couple decided to get a private scan to get some early reassurance after hearing the news, which had come as a “massive shock and surprise.” However, after being referred to the hospital, they learned the heartbreaking news that Lucy had miscarried.

She told OK!, “It was a traumatizing, horrible time. It was very up and down because we had a scan and they couldn’t see anything; then, when we went to the hospital, they thought they could.

She described how her “getting worse” symptoms of a typical pregnancy were. It came as more of a shock because there were no warning signs, said Lucy, who underwent surgery after the miscarriage.

But after their tragic experience, Lucy and Ryan are now looking ahead to the birth of their child on February 2, 2023. Lucy, who tested positive for pregnancy while visiting the Maldives, said, “We’re very fortunate that it happened again for us.” We weren’t applying pressure to it, and I tried not to apply pressure to myself, so it just happened that way for us in the end. Evidently, it was just destined to occur.

Last week, while attending a Football For Change charity event in Manchester, Lucy and Ryan put on a cutesy front. In a strapless, layered mini dress that highlighted her long, tanned legs, Lucy looked stunning. With a pair of bright pink heels that stood out due to a large bow detail on the back, she added a splash of color to her ensemble.

As she posed for the waiting cameras, the former soap star accessorized her ensemble with a black YSL clutch bag and gold jewelry. Her man then joined her for a few pictures. Ryan, a Preston North End player, kept things straightforward but elegant by donning a black suit and tie over a white shirt.
