Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), who decided to remain in the Square in the hopes of regaining Kat Slater’s (Jessie Wallace) affection, made his appearance on EastEnders by unexpectedly kissing her.
Earlier this week, the former manager of the Queen Vic made his long-anticipated return by showing up at Kat’s door the day before she was to wed Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).
Alfie refused to leave when Kat told him to do so because he thought Kat was marrying the wrong man in Phil.
Even though he ultimately failed to persuade her of this, the wedding was called off because the future bride was unable to arrive at the church in time due to an incident on a canal boat.
Alfie and Sharon Watts were both disappointed by Kat’s decision to change the wedding date because she still intends to wed Phil (Letitia Dean).
The popular soap opera’s episode from last Thursday (September 15), which is currently available to watch on BBC iPlayer, picked up the next day as Alfie resisted Phil’s attempts to push him around and demanded the chance to spend the day with his children.
Despite her reservations, Kat consented to let him do so as she brought her kids along with Alfie to the park for some kickaround.
After having a heart-to-heart with Tommy (Sonny Kendall), Alfie learned that Tommy believes Alfie loves Bert and Ernie more because they are his biological children.
Alfie was shocked by this assertion and quickly refuted it by stating that he also loves Tommy very much. The two then exchanged heartfelt hugs.
The former market trader went to the pub to visit with some old friends when he realized that, despite his previous declarations that he was leaving Walford, he was going to stay and defend Kat.
After telling Kat that, he planted a kiss on her lips, which caused her to slap him across the face, showing how serious he is about doing so. He then showed up outside Phil’s house.
When Kat’s ex-husband promised to win her back before she marries Phil, he was rebuked by Kat.
Will he do so is the key question.
That is still up in the air.
Alfie made a call to tell the person on the other end of the line that he had decided to remain in Walford, and as a result, it appears that he has another woman in his life.
He received a message from this unidentified woman, who he instructed the caller to inform of his feelings for her.
Who, exactly, is he referring to? Is he involved with someone else?
If so, will he succeed in getting Kat back only for the fact that he betrayed his relationship to surface later?
Only time will tell.
