After trying to move on from his ex-girlfriend Tracy Metcalfe, Emmerdale farmer Nate Robinson has been avoiding Naomi Walters. He is about to experience a shock, though, as she returns to the village.
Naomi, a newcomer to Emmerdale (played by Karene Peter), hasn’t had the best start to life on Emmerdale Farm after being charged with being part of the group that attacked Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler). As they grew closer and made the decision to move forward with their relationship, Nate (Jurell Carter) recently provided her with a shoulder to cry on.However, Tracy (Amy Walsh) is scheduled to return with their daughter Frankie in upcoming scenes, leaving Nate to make a critical choice regarding who he wants to be with.
Naomi recently reported herself to the police for her involvement in Nicola’s assault after feeling bad about the assault.
Since that time, Nate has supported her as their relationship evolved from that of housemates to that of a boyfriend and girlfriend.

When Tracy and Frankie appear in the Woolpack Beer Garden, Nate is astounded.
What does it mean that she’s returned now that Nate is with Naomi?
The night of the stag and hen dos is quickly approaching, and Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) has planned a special treat.
Nate has to maneuver around his baby mother and his most recent fling as it becomes clear that his feelings for Tracy have been rekindled.
Given that Naomi has admitted to attacking Nicola, could this portend worse things to come if she learns of Tracy’s return?
She might not consider taking the necessary steps to keep Tracy at a distance if she believes Tracy poses a threat to her and Nate’s relationship.
But after pledging to support Naomi, how will Nate tell her if he decides he still loves Tracy and wants to give their relationship another chance?
Could he possibly take Tracy out of the community so they could begin their new life with Frankie?
After learning that Nate had cheated on her with her sister Vanessa Woodfield’s (Michelle Hardwick) new girlfriend Fiona Murphy, Tracy was last seen in wrenching scenes (Yemisi Oyinloye).
She broke up with Nate because she felt betrayed by his actions and took Frankie with her when she accepted a job offer in Nottingham.
Nate was devastated that the couple had left because he was caring for Frankie and Tracy was receiving treatment for her postpartum depression in a psychiatric ward.
Because actress Amy Walsh is still on maternity leave and has admitted she wasn’t prepared to come back properly, Tracy’s return to the village isn’t a full-time comeback.
It was wonderful to be invited back for the 50th, she told Digital Spy. The executive producer Jane [Hudson] informed me that everything would be taking place in August and September when I was about to leave for maternity leave.
“[She] told me to let her know if I wanted to participate, but when the time came, I simply wasn’t prepared to return to work full-time.
She kindly offered to write me in and out again so I wouldn’t have to cut my maternity leave short. However, I still attended the 50th anniversary celebrations, so it was a win-win.
Since we are currently based in London, Amy continued, “It’s been really nice seeing everyone again and being able to bring Bonnie into work to meet everyone.
As it was very different the last time I was here, it’s also nice to be back now that all the COVID restrictions have finally been lifted.
“So it’s a brief return for the time being, as I said, but Tracy experiences a lot in a short period of time. When she sees Nate, it’s not as simple to tell him what she has to say as she might have thought.
“It’s been a long time coming, but she and Vanessa get to spend some quality time together too.”
